What is Azelaic Acid?

Azelaic Acid is a powerhouse new ingredient that is naturally-derived, safe, and EFFECTIVE!

Azaleic acid (wheat based)

Azelaic acid is a dicarboxylic acid that is naturally occurring acid which is synthesized by yeast, and is largely derived from grains like barley, wheat, or rye. (It is still considered gluten-free because it is not believed to absorb through the skin in quantities which could elicit a gluten reaction).

In addition to anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, it’s has potent exfoliating properties for the skin and pores, as well as the ability to reduce comedones (“blackheads/whiteheads”). It can do a lot, and as we mentioned it is a natural acid! This means it is also safe to use in pregnancy!

Why did it take so long for us to incorporate such a powerhouse ingredient into our products? It has taken years of research for us to find stable topical formulations that provide incredible results with the great quality, texture, and consistency we demand of our products!

Our products with Azelaic Acid will provide excellent results for those with acne, hyperpigmentation, and rosacea!
